Uniqueness of
the UNCART® cart triggering mechanism...
Seven things occur simultaneously when the disabling device is activated.
- Disabling device, to
which swivel casters are mounted is released (see picture [1])
- Shopping Cart drops
¾, lowering the center of gravity
- Shopping cart lands
on fixed directional casters (see picture [2])
- Fixed directional casters
are set further apart than the directional casters, thus giving the
front of the cart a wider stance
- When the cart drops
down on the fixed directional casters, the wheel base of the cart
(front to rear) is increased by approximately 6
- The cart then goes
in a circular motion either forward or backward
- The UNCART® cart is now disabled
The
bullet points provide a description of how the UNCART® cart system greatly
increases the stability of typical shopping cart.
The UNCART® cart is very unique
in that it disables all four wheels of the shopping cart. Two wheels
disable when the front sub-frame is triggered and the cart collapses
onto the fixed directional casters, when the cart is horizontal. It
also disables both rear wheel casters. If the cart is tilted onto the
back wheels, it raises both rear wheels off the ground as the stop dogs
contact the surface. (see pictures [3])
The shopping cart does
not come to a sudden stop or become unbalanced, once the UNCART® cart device
is triggered, but puts the cart into a rotational motion, thus absorbing
the forward or rearward energy and decreasing possibilities for injuries
and liability.
