The UNCART® Cart System

1. In Store Controller has: 1 Signal Amplifier Transmitter, * 1 Auto-Dialer, * 1 Stand by Power. This combination is new for the Shopping Cart Theft Disabling Device and the controller panel for the UNCART® Cart System, located in the store, will notify the store manager, as well as the service center for any power outages or damage to the buried cable. The controller panel has its own standby power system in case of power failure at the store.

2. In the parking lot: The signal cable boundary is a unique dotted line (l l l) or circles (m m m). This is a new concept identifying the area where carts will become disabled, both on the surface of the parking lot and on the warning sign posted around the parking lot. This idea is new to shopping cart disabling systems.

3. The combination of items on the shopping cart: 1 collapsible sub-frame with casters (front), use of “FelxinolTM”) wire as trigger. Note: Patent also shows a solenoid, possibly used to trigger for release pins. 2 fixed directional casters on the front nose of the cart. These casters put the cart into a fixed circular motion. 2 stop dogs or wheel brackets, one on each rear wheel (caster). Some carts will have both rear casters fixed and others may have rotating casters.

4. Resetting of the disabling device on the cart: Reset tools (reset wand, long version of tool; reset key, short version of tool). The reset tool has a removable tamper proof tip that matches the tamper proof key way on the pivot in the center of the disabling device on the cart. The tamper proof tips and key way can be changed if the reset tool is lost, to keep the carts secure. The reset tool and the reset mechanism in the UNCART® cart are purely mechanical. Because of this you will not lose the use of your shopping cart in the reset mode due to low batteries or power as in other types of anti-theft devices. If the UNCART® cart unit were to suffer power loss you would still have use of the shopping cart.

Warranty as follows:

In the 37th month, at the end of the warranty period, the unit may be exchanged, dependent upon condition, up to 10% credit for the original price, against a new or rebuilt device. Wheels will be covered by wheel manufacturers warranty.
